I enjoyed this book, not because it is from his perspective as opposed to Book 1 Gaia is from her perspective. It is that an ad so much more. Elios expands on Gaia's story and gives more detail as well. It doesn't just give the same dialog seen from a different perspective, you get more depth to both of the stories by reading this one as well. Slips is an alien sent to observe the development of life and cultural development. He is older than Earth itself. His culture shares emotions and thoughts by touch with others of their race whom they have a personal connections. Elios has always been able to remain impartial and personally unconnected with Earth's inhabitants continuing to gather necessary information, till he sees Gaia! He sees in her an aura of purity someone that he can make a personal connection and he becomes enthralled. With one look they each develop a connection that neither understands. This is completely unacceptable to those in power on his planet of Solo. Read to see if their relationship is doomed or if love will prevail.Product details

I'm ambivalent about this book. I don't have any strong feelings either way. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either.
Book one and book 2 of the worlds apart series tell the same story on the one from Gaia and one for Elios view. Without the second I got the whole story but with the addition of Elios story I got a deeper richer feel for what was going on . I loved both books .
I enjoyed reading Elios' story and the expression of his feelings. This story is not only fascinating, romantic and "pure" but it also mirrors what we all struggle with and what we long for, sometimes our entire life. The search for a level of passion, devotion and love that goes beyond the touch, that takes you, body and mind, to places the human imagination can only hope to discover.
At the same time, a story about how we all struggle to decide between our "duty", and our heart. Reading the book I could almost "touch" his heart, and "feel" his emotions. Loved it!!
Elios is the companion story of Gaia. It is the same story, just told from his point of view. Elios is not of this world. He is an observer with a mission to save the memory of humanity and is forbidden to interact with any of Earth's population. While in Greece he locks eyes with Gaia and everything changes. He feels an attraction that is much more than love at first sight and changes his world as well as hers.
Elios' story fills in questions in Gaia's story. We see what happens when they are apart and she is wondering why things are as they are. We learn about Elios' life and where he comes from as well as why he's not supposed to interact with Gaia.
Overall, I liked this story more than Gaia's story. Elios is a stronger character and there is more of an explanation for why things are as they are. As I said in my review for Gaia, this is a super clean romance. There is not even hand holding til near the end. Abstinence is stretched to its maximum limits in these two books. So if you like clean romance you should pick these up and give them a shot.
I read both books in the series. It was interesting to read from the perspectives of each character, but the identical dialog was a little too much the second time around. I think that the books could have been combined and been a better read, but I still enjoyed the story line. I read Elios second, so I enjoyed it a little less. I'm not sure if my opinion would be the opposite if I had read it first.
I read the companion novel Gaia first, then Elios. Recommend reading Elios first. Elios has more action, and Gaia seems to spend more time pining--although her prespective on the relationship is sweet. And she does see some action.
