Time to Play The Forensic Files Book 2 eBook KA Richardson Reviews
Time to Play is one of those books that come along that keep your attention to the end and leave you wanting more. Add in some unexpected twists and your satisfaction level rises. I reserve five rating for the best of the best so take my four as high praise and enjoy the ride.
Another amazing read by this awesome author who never fails to produce a stunning novel. A well deserved 5*
Time to play by K A Richardson
Excellent book. Straight in & great characters. I enjoy the strong female lead but in K A Richardson books she has strong characters of both sexes.
Trafficking, murder, secrets amongst the officers, this book just rolls. It has a lot packed into, not mixed, not misleading, straight up well written thriller.
3 scenarios One is the police investigating a possible murder, another is a young girl having been trafficked, and the third is a girl kept in a cage. How do they all connect? This is a fast moving interesting read that has something new on every page. One murder becomes more. One girl becomes more and so the stories intertwine. Ali and Marlo are very likeable characters as is Elvie. Connor has a disturbing character in his life that he would love to get rid of but for the sake of others he is unable to as he is held to ransom. Strong lead characters bring this book to life and you find yourself rooting for them in different scenarios to do the right thing. Many of us are sheltered from the harsh realities of life and this has some brutal scenes that some may find disturbing however I am sure that in some spheres they could and maybe do occur. A detective story with a difference as this is not all about one thread or one “cop”. There are heart-warming scenes as well the ones that make you shudder at the very thought. That some have to deal with these scenarios as a part of their job. Ok their choice, but this brings home the diversity of lifestyles that we don’t realise even exist. A well written, interesting, gripping book. Some humour, some romance, some grimacing scenes. A book not to be missed if you like an excellent crime read.
Thank you to Bloodhound books-I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an open and honest review
I was given this book by Bloodhound Publishing in exchange for my honest review.
I usually settle down to read just before bed as busy during the day, when I started reading I just couldn't put it down, I kept thinking just one more chapter, no I think I can do another chapter, before I knew it, it was 1am arrgh not good when you have to be up at 7.15am.
KA Richardson is a very talented crime writer, and although Time To Play is about human trafficking and very sensitive, it is really well written.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Oh wow, this book was one twisty, turny novel indeed! I read it in the space of a couple of hours and I found myself at 4am, unable to put my down to get some much-needed sleep.
Marlo is a police diver with a past that not too many people know about. Alistair McKay is a man who also has a troubled past. The two of them work closely on a possible murder case with the rest of their team, and when they discover a human trafficking case on their doorstep is connected with said case, it takes the case in a whole new direction, one they never expected.
I absolutely loved this book the main characters are real, beautifully characterised and authentic. The secondary characters are also well written and all in all, I was wondering how it was all going to end up. The author does a great job of weaving all the different strands of the story together.
A well written novel from K A Richardson, with a good balance of suspense and a human touch. Believable characters. I will definitely read the next in the series.
If I could give more stars I would. Time to play is believable, exciting, suspenseful. I hope there are many more books about the North East Police.
